Re: Dual Intake/Plenum?
do you mean dual cai? SLP use to make one but there rare and expensive now. At first i thought you ment two tpi intakes with 4 runners on each intake all on one engine, now that would be awesome

Re: Dual Intake/Plenum?
If it's SD it should be doable without too much issue. I'd take a piece of 3" and make a merge. It will be roughly 4". I would guess it would be a custom piece. That being said it's the price you pay for being cool and different.
I've thought a cool design would be to do a set of TPI runners up where they were cut off at a 90 degree angle roughly like a Lingerfelter intake (instead of doing a 180 like stock) and then doing 2 plenums/TBs instead. Doubt it would be any more functional just look neat. Throw a set of stock Vortec/LS1/whatever TBs on there and call it a day.

Well some of the camaros have a dual snorkel CAI factory that draws from in front of the radiator, the airbox is basically y shaped, so it only needs one MAF, its the setup my car has on it, unfortunately, I do not think they work with the firebirds because of hood clearance or something, but you could probably adapt one to work somehow.

Re: Dual Intake/Plenum?
havent seen anyone do a true dual plenum/tb setup but i'd love to try it. Just not sure how you'd do that electronically and mechanically on the linkage.
I dont see the advantage in dual CAI... just run one big tube to the side. Packaging is only reason i can see a dual intake setup...two smaller pipes are easier to route in the engine bay

Re: Dual Intake/Plenum?

Looks like that setup requires relocation of the battery and deletion of the charcoal canister.
