cylinder select error
i am having a guy tune my ECM and it keeps coming up with a cylinder select error. is that an error on his side or is that an error with a sensor or something along that line with the car.

This is a sticky in the DFI & ECM board.
there is a resistor(s) that indicate if the Memcal is for a V6 or V8.
Cylinder select error indicates the software is stating one thing and the hardware is for another.
there are ways around this if needed. Search memcal in the DIY-Prom board.

Re: cylinder select error
Yes, It should be 00 for 8 cylinders in that application.
If you still get that error, The memcal is from a V6 or other.
