TPI question
Hey guys, I have a quick question. I tried to set my idle and the way that I did it was this. I grounded pins A and B in the aldl connector and then waited 30s for the iac to close and then unplugged. I then started the car with the pins still grounded. I have read on sites that I should have used a 10k resistor instead of a paperclip as that is what the scanners do. Did I hurt anything by doing that?

Re: TPI question
You shouldn't run the car with the pins grounded.
There's nothing wrong with the paperclip method. I wouldn't worry about the 10K resistor.

Re: TPI question
Running the car for a short time to set idle is fine with the paper clip. Check the tech info boards on how they say to set it. There is nothing mentioned about a 10k resistor.
