Injectors don't fire w/ TPS connected! Whats the deal here?
It's a speed density retrofit in a vette.
The computer will ONLY fire the injectors if the TPS Sensor isn't connected. It's set at .57 volts dc at idle and goes up to just under 5 volts at WOT.
what am i looking for here.. am i missing something?

Just possible you have a few wires swapped...could be you're sending WOT voltage to the injectors? I believe the TBI's have a "clearflood state", might be the SD TPI's do too?
Could be just because you're reading TPS voltage, doesn't mean the wires are on the correct pins...TPS volatge at idle on an SD setup, doesn't need adjustment, as it scales itself based on TPS idle setting (be it .5 volts or .7 volts).
If you have a scantool, you can plug in and see what the computer is seeing...might be it's seeing 4.5vlots/etc.
I dunno, just tossing it out.
The other thing (agaion with the wiring) is you might have the ground wire going to the injectors?

it won't fire if the tps is set to anything over .45 but it will fire the injectors if it's .45 or under.... i think for now i will take your advice and set up the ALDL and see what the scanner says

Now that's odd
How are you able to get the TPS below .45? Are you using an earlier TPS from an '89-down model? IIRC, the '90-92's had no "slot" in them, and could only move by the slop in the mounting holes.
