ls1 injectors now car barely idles HELP
hey guys ive got a 84z with a swapped in lt1 cammed 350 tpi, i have had this running nice all summer (1000 miles or more simce i swapped in a wct5) any way got some used (20k Miles) ls1 injectors istalled them (ground down ralis boses for proper fit reused factory clips @rails) anway get it all back together and the car runs but smells rich, no problem, burn a chip with 23.5 injector constant, no difference here are the exact symptoms ( verified fuel pressure 43psi) car will start fine and run @ idle in open loop o2 @ 4.5-5.4 mv then as soon as it goes into closed loop int start dropping and so does blm (int will drop to 80 ish, blm will drop to 108) then all of a sudden they both pop to 128 and the idle shoots up, ive tried changing injector constants from 21-26 to no avail ive tried increasing the gm/sec to try and take away some fuel but didn't seem to change aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

The LS1s run at about 68psi, so I'm kinda surprised they allow your car to run at all. I bet the spray pattern is WAY off optimal for you injectors.

Re: ls1 injectors now car barely idles HELP
umm there are about 200 or so threads about how the ls1 (or bosch type III's) are the best injector on the market , that being said they are slightly shorter (.25 inch) but will work if the rail hieght is adjusted, they are RATED @ 63 or so psi (that is the pressure ls1's run at ) however they work fine at 43 but flow 23 instead of 26 lbs per hr, seriously no one has any idea ??

those ls1 injectors are fine they should be bosch 3 with a part number on the side of 0280155931. grey in color.. check your coolant sensor and the tps. also check fuel pressure after shutdown the pressure should hold.. if it drops fast injectors are leaking. Send the to fic to rebuild. But they work fine.. at 43.5 psi trhey flow almost 24. the blm jumping around is normally a laeker.
