Aluminum serpentine pulleys

Ive been thinking about dressing my engine up a little with aluminum pulleys and i found some pretty cheap ones on ebay but it says for standard rotation water pumps, will they still work on my GTA engine as im sure water pump goes opposite way to standard sbc engines and as they are only pulleys why do they only work in one direction, these are the ones http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...243061143&rd=1

Re: Aluminum serpentine pulleys

Yeah, I don't think that will work. The biggest problem I see is that the water pump pulley is ribbed, where the ribbed side of the serpentine belt would turn it (standard rotation). Our cars have a smooth water pump pulley, since the back of the belt turns it (reverse rotation).
