Tough to achieve 250HP for mostly stock LB9?
I know the only true way is to get my car on a dyno, but I wanted to ask for your expert opinions. How much HP (engine HP, not wheel HP) do you think my 92 LB9 5spd trans am convertible is making? I'd be happy with 250HP.
Here are the only mods:
- Crane Cams 104221 "compucam 2030" 204/214 .429/.452 116deg LSA
- .020 over Hypereutectic pistons were installed on the rebuild
- 1 3/4 inch SLP headers into 3" high flow single cat, from rear of cat 2.5" pipe into stock muffler
- air foil
- holes cut in stock air box
-K&N air filter
- Accel coil
- AFPR adjusted to 50 psi

Considering stock it was 205 horsepower, and you've eliminated most of the restriction with the headers and larger exhaust (although you'd gain more with a 3" exhaust), I would say you're almost at 250 HP.
At the dyno you should see 210-215 hp at the wheels.

I made 226HP at 5252 Through stock manifolds so yes it's possible, L30 or 31 heads and a decent cam and you can pull 290
