valve cover removal
ok, me and my friend tried to get my valve covers off my '88 305 Trans Am and we failed miserably. How in the world do you get the drivers side off? the AIR tube from the manifold is in the way as well as the boot on the back of the alternator. And how do you get the passengers side cover off? i dont know how to remove that big pump lookin thing directly over the valver cover. Once i get that off, it looks pretty easy. We were gona put some Crane 1.6:1 rockers on, the gold ones.

I belive on mine I took the alt off and it came out with a little wiggling. you may need to diconnect your inj. wires and remove the bolt that hold down the cold start inj. so you can swing it out of the way.
the pass side take off the air hoses next you will have to disconnect the two plugs under the black cover next go down by the air pump and take out two 10mm? bolts and the tube and air diverter valve will lift up. but, this side may still give some trouble due to the metal air tube in back
