Pics of Installed StealthRam Today!
I threw it on real quick because I had no car while it was downtime, so it wasnt the prettiest installation ever. but I kept the HSR itself clean, just didnt have time to hide all the wires yet.
I also did a cam swap. put in a 234/244 @ .050 112LSA Lunati Blower Cam.
Lost power from 3000-4500 rpms, but it now pulls smoothly and strongly (even with 2.73's) all the way to 6500 RPMS. Im very happy with it, just needs gears.
Note Im using the TBI boot that went from the 305's air cleaner to the plastic intake. I need a S/D Boot if anyone has one for like $10+ship. right now duct tape holds it together...

If you want a boot PM esams, I think he still has one sitting around in a box from the car he totaled.
esams, is the guy you want to ask.

Its a shame I have finals now, I would have loved to stay until it was done so I can ride in it. I would have been happy to just to hear it idle actually.
As for the sd boot, email tacreationsusa.com to make sure they have one. They charge $15 for one, which would be the same or less as $10 plus shipping. Give me the $15, and I will pick one up on my way to work, and I'll drop it off next time I see you. The place is like 10 min from Circuit City.
By the way, what finally happened with that braided hose, did you end up cutting it?

IN other news I cant hook up my freaking fuel pressure guage because the thread size on the back of the fuel rail is like a 14MM or something weird metric so my 3/8 90* fitting wont screw in.

goto lowes or home depot and get a black rubber pipe connector and 4 hose clamps..
then get either a piece of tubing (metal or PCV) and use the connector to connect the tubing between..
if painted black it looks smooth, but stock.

After some weird Injector Mayhem (7 of my new 30pph injectors had 3 OHMS instead of 16? ??)
I put the old ones in and tuned it in pretty well. Running out of injector after 5500RPMS (45PSI on 24#) its going lean and 100%+ Duty cycle.
I even hit my rev limiter at one point in the night, 6500RPMS where I forgot I set it for the TPI.
Beat a new vette tonight... and an impala SS older body...

Check out my new spark map! its really agressive compared to the TPI map. It used to knock on the highway with anymore than 39*, and at WOT it would knock with anything more than 35*.
Now it doesnt seem like it ever wants to knock, i guess cylinder pressure is really low compared to TPI with this cam and intake. you wouldnt know by driving it though!
I put another 95 miles on it and used only 4.6 gallons of gas! so my fuel economy is about what it was before... very interesting!

No wonder the dude at forced induction gave you the 30 pounders for free . I am going to have an extra set of 24 LT1 injectors coming in shortly in case you want to try those out to compare to your 24 svo injectors. I remember you telling me that your injectors weren't really reacting at all when you bumped up your fuel pressure.

LT1 24lbers are rated @43.5psi, while the SVO 24lbers are rated @39psi.
Unless there is something wrong with the injector the SVO unit will flow more than the LT1 unit at an equal PSI, assuming your fuel pump can keep up and your return line is free flowing.
I run my SVO 24lbers @56psi on the rail. But only spin her up to 5800rpm. My AFRS are just dandy at those settings.

Ominous_87, I realize that the SVO injectors are rated at a lower psi, so they would flow more than the LT1 injectors at an equal psi. The problem KingTal0n was having was that no matter what he set his fuel pressure to, he never noticed a difference. If he threw the LT1 injectors on there and noticed nothing when he raised the fuel pressure, then that would help him isolate the cause of his problem. If on the other hand, the LT1s responded to the raise in fuel pressure whereas the SVOs didn't, then the problem would seem to be with his injectors. Hes had the impression for a while that his injectors were clogged. Just an idea...

well well well! 92Blue, Rob at Forced mixed the p/n's up, he gave me a set of 72Lb/Hr low impedance lucas injectors by accident! lol. Im going by tommarow morning to get some 32lb (@ 44PSI) high impedance Lucas injectors in exchange for these expensive huge ones.
Ill also probably be writing an auto-tuner for the Haltech soon here, for him, proprietary to his company. Ill ask in exchange that he give me his D-1SC and intercooler
vwdave, Im not sure when ill be around, but Ive got to get some gears in this thing or im just going to light it on fire! lol around town it just really sucks driving something with so much stall and no gears and no torque... wee
cars around town come off the line quicker than me for the first second and a half... by that time I get into my 4500+RPM powerband and pass them like they are standing still! then the converter helps keep it up there when i shift... but it REALLY need some gears. Ill probably be doing that this week. 3.42's for me, 3.73's would mate better but I cant stand the highway RPMS.

Sure, theres plenty of room under the stock camaro hood for all sorts of things. Stealthrams, Turbos, Blow off valves, intercoolers, etc...
it gets real interesting when people hear turbos and look around and all they see is a beaten up camaro with faded paint

what engine is that? weren't you running a 305 recently? or did you buck the trend and put a HSR on a 305?

it went from 305 to 383 about a year ago, but this motor is a 355. I didnt like the idea of a 3.75" stroke spinning 6700 rpms when I added the stealthram and the "big" cam. Now im not sure where ill spin it to, the skys the limit so long as the turbos stay efficient, and the bottom holds.

Whew. What a ride. Today i wacked the rev limiter at 7000RPMS by accident, the tire went-a-spinnin and before i knew what had happened it was sideways (again) and blowing fireballs out the downpipes that were lighting up the road (it was night time).
Dont know what would have happened with the TPI, but i doubt it would want to nail 7000RPMs so quickly.
