Injector Size

How do you know when you got injectors that are too small on your setup. I was going over my recent datalogs and my Duty Cycle is running right aroung 97% in WOT in first, second third .. that cant be good..

Right now i have 24lb Lt1 injectors but i dont think they are enough

350
Mods are 224/230 comp xe cam
stealth ram
pro action port 180cc heads
1 5/8 headers
3" cat back

should i be looking for 30s or what?

What is your fuel pressure at? Could try running 46-48 PSI, 30# might be too big, maybe 26-28 if you can find them

You might have ECM probs as well. I don't think injector size should be an issue, as 24lb'ers are good with an AFPR and stock TPI fuel pump to 450 hp. Good luck.

I just bought a set of brand new 28.8# @ 43.4 psi LS6 injectors. Supposedly at 58 psi they're rated for 32#'s so I'm hoping that with a walbro pump and adjustable fuel pressure regulator I'll be safe.
My engine is a 383 with 11:1 JE flat tops, Edelbrock E-Tec 200 heads, Crane 109841 Powermax Hydraulic Roller Cam (Advertised Duration: 296°/304º Duration @ .050: 234°/242° Lobe Separation: 112°
Gross Lift w/1.6 rockers: .575''/.595'') 1.6 roller rockers, Holley Multi-port single plane intake, fuel rails, and 1000cfm 4v throttle body, hooker long tubes and 3" duals with x-pipe and dumps.
Should be good for 475-500 horse at the flywheel. Will these injectors be good big enough?

I'm in the middle off a 383 stroker build right now. I am using Bosch 24lb injectors and they will be plenty. Plus, I don't have to mess with my ecm and my car will still remain a daily driver that will get better than 5 mpg! Seriously, don't go too nuts with big injectors, instead tweek your AFPR and pressure up some more fuel to them, see what you can get out of them before spending 300.00 plus bucks on injectors. You'll probably be suprised.

I had no injectors cause I was going from TBI, and these were $75 shipped. So I bought them. They're the new design 3 delphi/bosch injector which is supposed to be pretty good. I hope they work well with my application. I plan on doing alot of ECM tuning.

Sorry, I guess I should have read about your car (TBI). I'm running TPI.

It had a 5.0 TBI motor but I scrapped that and went to the 383 with Multi-Port Injection. I know it's not TPI, but it uses the same style injectors and Speed Density ECM.

ls6 injectors should be flowing 28lbs at 58 psi.. i was going to go with a set but at the stock 43 psi they put out the same as lt1 injectors do..

i will save that money and order a wideband.. should make my life alot easier..

i should be in the 400 hp range tho.. i would think..
