AFPR for LT1 Converson??

I just did a search to see what kind of AFPR people are using on the LT1 Conversions. I have a Aeromotive AFPR. This is one that is no good for the conversion because it does hit the Dist. (Not good to do). What type of AFPR are people using? John Millican I know you are using SLP's but I think you said you are using the hat only. Thanks

Do you have any pictures? Are you trying to install the AFPR right to the fuel rail? I'm about to order the Aeromotive 13109 for this swap. Is that the one you are using? What about remote mounting is somewhere else?

Remote mounting the FPR would require quite a bit of modifications to the LT1 fuel rails, including welding.

But if he is using the aeromotive AFPR than I would thik he was already going to come off the rails with some AN-6 fittings anyways, is there an easy way to make this AFPR work with the stock lines and rails?

Yes, your case is differant becuse you are starting with a '93 intake and rails. Those rails must be modified to even fit with the distributor back there.

I didn't want people cutting up good '94-97 fuel rails just so they can run a remote AFPR, there are plenty of AFPR's that are made to directly mount to the stock fuel rail.

Chris, ragtop is talking about a stand alone aeromotive AFPR since he's running AN fittings all over with braided steel fuel lines.

I'm glad the Aermotive AFPR you used (they make more then one) fit. I remember your e-mails with some questions about that.

For all other people considering an AFPR on the LT1 intake, I recommend the Accel '94-97 F-body AFPR. It is the exact same size as stock so it presents no fitment problems.

Another option is the TPIS AFPR. They sell either the hat only (which is you cheapest solution) or the complete AFPR. It's pretty easy to install their hat.

TPIS also sells the -6AN fitting for the fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks John for answering the questions. I don't have any pictures and the AFPR is the same number. I have the regulator on the fuel rail in place and you can see it touching the dist. there is even a little indentation into the dist.. With all the vibration I think it would be just a matter of time that the dist would crack. I'm sure Aeromotive puts out a good product but I think in this case it would not be good for the LT1 conversion.
