newdistributor for LT1 conv...

if i get a distributor out of an 87 roc, so it will fit with the lt1 intake conversion, how do i wire it, isnt it different style connections? also, is the distributor from any v8 external coil GM gonna fit? cuz the one in my 89 chev truck has a dist. that looks the same as the 87+ f body's... thanks for any advice/comments, JOE

Yes, you can and should use a distributor from a '87+ Camaro.

The connectors are differant but the wire colors are exactly the same.
You can pick up replacement connectors from Pep Boys. They come with some wire already on them.

You can also use a truck distributor as long as it looks exactly the same, two connectors in the back and no vacuum advance.

Average turn time is 3 weeks, sometimes 4 weeks.
