Leaking runners - plenum

Just installed Edelbrock High Flow runners and intake. They've been ported and fit the intake perfectly. Problem is where they meet the plenum. Both plenum and runners were ported, the stock gaskets have way to small of an opening to and will choke off the air if used. If I bored out the gasket holes there's not enough to form a good seal. Also, we made and cut out our own gaskets with gasket material and couldn't fit the plenum in - real tight fit. Tried several times to pass on the gaskets and use sealant only - big time leaks. Wondering if the sealant wasn't set and when starting the car it sucks the sealant out and creates the leak.

Try some different gasket material or order a set of "big mouth" gaskets. I think SLP sells those.

I used the stock gaskets and pinned them in position and used a
sanding drum to open them up to each runner then marked them
as to what runner they belonged to and what side went against
the runner tubes so they went on EXACTLY the way they were
"PORTED" to fit.

Have not had a leak in 5k miles yet.
