This is a very rare car. Only 1,555 were produced. This is the 20th Anniversary Edition. This car was made to be used as an Indy Pace Car. It comes with all the original documentation including the first bill of sale. I have yet to come across this car anywhere with fewer miles. The lowest found so far is still over 7000. Here are some of the major highlights:
3053 Original Miles - That's right, Three Thousand Miles,
3.8L SFI Turbo V6 w/intercooler, 4 Speed Auto,
All original , T-Roof, Leather, Air, Power everything.
Considering what other cars of the like are going for, I'm looking for $45,000.

I found four of them in the autotrader.com with less than 3000 miles on them. One car has 125 miles on it and they are only asking $34 500.00US

5 out of 1550 cars (including mine) have that few miles. Thanks pretty good. Also, $34,500US is $42,000cdn. So my asking price of $40,000, which is open to reasonable offers, is not out of line. Thanks for your post.

mint clear title turbo ta on ebay had a buy it now for 13900 about two weeks ago. amazing car i wanted to buy it i knew he didnt know the real value of the cars, but i already have 3 trans ams. you could still find it if you did a search. lots of them on ebay goin for cheap. everyone is loosing there jobs down there.

If you can, just hold on to it. Third gen prices are falling like stones, this is a horrible time to sell. I don't believe the sawzall comment is very fair. I agree that 1 of 1555 isn't super rare, but its not like you see them on the street everyday.

its almost sad. a person buys a very expensive car and puts it in storage and does not drive it. average cost of indoor storage is 50 dollars a month. even if its your garage your still paying for it because you now can not use the space your paying for. so now you paid 12 thousand dollars to store it. im sure it was insured the 20 years for damage in the garage. so now you are around 15 thousand. now the interest you lost on the 30-40 thousand dollars you had tied up in the car the whole 20 years. i would hate to know what the interest on that would be. then take a loss on the car or maybe break even when you sell it after 20 years. whats the point?
i say drive your fun car and enjoy it.

here is a good example. a guy bought a 81 turbo trans am nascar pace car. cost around 20 canadian in 1981. dove it a couple years and put it in his single car garage. it sat covered unmoved for 20 years and sold it to me for 2000 grand. so he could not use his garage and lost alot of money for nothing.

I just did an advanced search on Flea bay and looked at past auctions for these cars, 2 cars with fewer than 3 000 miles on them sold. One sold on Jan 07 for $23 801 U.S. ($28 814cdn), it had 1 500 miles on it. Another car sold for $29 500 US ($35 846CDN) on Jan 06 it had 1600 miles on it. So there appears to be a decent number of very low miliage TTA's out there. I might mention that higher miliage cars (20 000 miles $ up) were not meeting reserves and thus not selling.Turbo Trans Ams are not GNX's, the biggest problem they face is the lack of knowledge of their existance. Alot of people who are not into third gens didn't even realize that a V6 Trans Am was ever made. Although they are a low production vehicle and one of the fastest to come out of the 80's from the factory, the market just isn't there for these cars as of yet especially in this economy.

I've discovered that any seat will just bolt right into a third gen. However, if I took the heated seats otu of my wifes Volvo and covered them in fur...ooohh, now that's class!
