Ottawa and surrounding crowd

Well, I've yet to even look at my car since last summer. And this summer is coming to a skreeching halt at a rapid pace. Life is too short, or at least the summers are.
A few summers ago, actually it was fall, some of us got togeather one last time with our cars. Remember lads, we met at Barhaven and all drove into Merivale/Meadowlands togeather. It was a good time to hang and talk, even though we all froze our asses off.
Anyone want to try to get togeather for one of these. I know most of you would have your year complete to get to hang out with the coolest guy in town, that being me naturally, so who's up for this.
The long weekend is obviously a right off, so what about Sept 5th? It's the first Friday night of the month. Should give us all time to plan. I know Neil tried to get a Tuesday night at Kanata going a few times, and that didn't fair to well. Here's me raising my hand to being guilty of not getting out to one of those Kanata meets myself, so I'm part of the problem lol.
Anyway, what's your thoughts people. And where the hell are all the female F-body owners in this town???

Can't make K town, but I plan on going to Kanata next tuesday if anyone else can make it.

There was an older guy there a few weeks ago with a white IROC filled with moth *****. You could smell it 50ft away...pretty funny.

Re: Ottawa and surrounding crowd

LOL, sounds like me, I got my engine bay FULL of mothballs. I heard it keeps mice away, I can't confirm this, but I haen't seen any signs YET. But I still gotta actually check it this season.
I talked to Ken, That's where we came up with the 5th as a date to hang out. He's busy almost EVERY weekend. My summer has been a blur as well. Anyone hear from Hylton, John, Tom or anyone else???
I've been trying to call Paul here and there, but I never really leave messages either, so I may try that. Dave, try him as well.
Neil, hows that thing go now with the "cam"?

We usually block off 2 ends of Merivale of traffic, then race full tilt up and down both sides of Merivale. Most of us are also pretty drunk. You can tell by the bottles in our hands.
We usually just cruise in togeather and just chat, most of us haven't talked in awhile, so it's cool to see each other and just joke around for awhile.

Hey Scott, Oh it goes... it ran a 12.6 @ 114 with crappy 60ft's as the staging lanes were full of puddles..oh ya, it was at Luskville too...

Dave, what do you attach the top strap on the car seat to in the camaro? I heard once you can use the Ttop bag loops, but they look pretty weak.

Re: Ottawa and surrounding crowd

I don't use the top strap in the camaro. I run the lap belt through the baby seat and work it until it's extremely tight and get the lap belt to lock. The seat doesn't move side to side or forward/back after I'm done.

You know, I never thought of the T-top hook though. I may look at that.
Amazing how much kids love a vibrating noisy car though... lol

Re: Ottawa and surrounding crowd

Dave, will Paul come out?
I looked in the manual for how to install the forward facing infant car seat with top strap.
Front seat: use the rear seatbelt extended all the way to hook the top strap into.
Rear seat: have to drill a hole through the lower cargo well side and install a 5/16" bolt with 2.5" washers and a reatainer loop device. It has a diagram and dimensions. I might do this..ikes!

Where is everyone else form Ottawa?

In other words, do f-body owners in Ottawa and area get together on a regular basis?

Let's get something going on around here!

Ha, not since last year..2 and 3 years ago was better when we managed to get a good group down to Shannonville.Luskville for some drags.

Hopefully we'll get a decent turnout Friday!
I'm going to see if the Ottawadrags guys still meet up at Merivale and Huntclub at the A&W. No rice...

I think we should meet up at the A&W (at Merival and Huntclub) to start, we can always head over to M&M if need be. I think it tends to be a heatscore with all the ricers and guys goofin off..

What time? Want to say 7:30pm?

Re: Ottawa and surrounding crowd

I can deal with light rain, I had to take the ET Streets off anyways.

Apparently,

Iroc rims without full shank engagement + hard 1st gear launch= 4 bent wheel studs.

I changed the 4 of them on the weekend and put the other rims back on. I may end up selling my Iroc rims and tire setup.

Hi fellow f-body enthusiasts!

Count me in too. I look forward to seeing you guys at M&HC A&W
at 8pm on Friday, September 5th, 2008 (since I haven't made it
out to any Albion nor Hazeldean cruise nights this year yet).

Ken F. could you bring the F-body trophy with you, if you are going?

Neil, I have some "LT1 to LT4 mod" questions for you?

Hylton, I have a little something that is owed to you...
