HEY EVERYONE - SHANNONVILLE's 2006 dates

Shannonville Motorsports Park ((613)969-1906 - shannonville.com/) has the 2006 scheduale up now!
All of the Friday night cruisenights for the dragstrip have changed this year. For the better I think. This year they are all Saturday nights. $20/car as many runs as you can get in. $5/spectatar. Times are at 6pm-11pm. Dates are:
April 22
May 6, 27
June 24
July 8
Aug 5
Sept 9
Oct 6 (which is the only Friday cruise - it's a big race weekend)
Most of the dates look good for me accept for June 24, Scream'in Chicken and I are going to be in Michigan for the Firebird show that weekend. I didn't look at the pay-per-lap dates for the roadcoarse. If everyone can plan now, maybe we can have some cruises comprising alot of cars from all around Ontario.
HEY HYLTON, maybe (just an idea???) the Tri-City Invasion could be on the Sept 9th date. Isn't that only a week earlier then, not too bad. See how many Montreal crew show up then too. It's nice to have these now, so things can be set WAY in advance.
Just trying to see how many (if any) gathering we can get this summer for everyone) As said, I think I'm good for all but June 24.
What do you all think?????

Thanks for those dates Scott. That date may definitely work. 3 events we want to keep away from: Woodward Dream Cruise, TA Nats and the FBody Nats which is usualy around the same time.

Scott,

Just finished looking around at the Shannonnville schedule. I need to find a date where they have the $20.00 drag night AND the $20.00 foir 5 laps around the large road course. The road course deal only seems to go 'til August. I noticed they have the road courses booked in September but I was not able to find out what for.

Getting the road course in the morning, afternoon or evening on the 9th, would be perfect. Prefferably, I would like to have the road course in the afternoon and then have the drag racing at night but if we have to do both at the same time, so be it. Guys can just do one, then the other immediately following (that would be a hoot and a half).

$20 for five laps is not good at all unless you just want to do 10 laps or something. Do they have a flat rate.

Also, you seem to have a convertable - will they let you on the road course with that.

I'm not sure, but I think the dragstip (or most of it) is used as one of the straights for the roadcoarse. When the drags are on, I think that's all that's on. Their in the evening, so doing the coarse in the day or the next day - Sunday, would be ideal like you said already.
Michigan is June 24 weekend, and the Trans Am Nats is the last weekend in August, the weekend before Labour Day. When are the dates for the other big events of the summer - Woodward, F-Body Nats, anything else anybody knows of or wants to add?????
