well grand bend sucked. they didnt have the wednesday test and tune, despite the fact it was posted on their big roadsign. she was all locked, no notes or explanation. it was ridicolous. i was pissed. what a waste.
on the plus side broke my arm at ball hockey. hopefully i will have a cast by friday afternoon.
congrats on the new car Jay. i cant wait to see it. it sounds killer.

Seriously man you can have her back.... I got a great year out of her... tons and tons of fun and lots of stories! Xhiron actually wanted her if no one else does, but you definitely got dibs! If you want it tomorrow I'll drive it to your place... insurance is off tomorrow. She is in pretty rough shape right now because I didn't tend the bodywork after I put the primer on. Just let me know man!

Man... that is rough about the arm! Is it completely busted or a hairline fracture? Hope you can still get to work... knowing you it would take alot more than that to miss a day of work! lol I'll bring the GTP by this weekend sometime!

Okay man... sounds good. You have my info right? I'll PM you just in case. Once the insurance runs out I'm not sure how I would get it there but we'll figure something out.

Damn that sucks man... that must be driving you crazy because I know how much you hate missing work. I broke my arm about 10 yrs ago... not fun. Maybe you can **** out your cast and give it a candy paint job!

Tempting... I've got some running around to do to get everything in order before I pick up the new car tomorrow (4:00). I also wanted to get some hours in on the project car tonight... what time are you guys going? I'm leaving work now... so I'll give you a call when I get home!

1998 black on black with every single option.... and the beast project is alive and kicking... just making her pretty now.
Apparently these things can do 13.9 with 4 mods:
CAI (Free)
3.4" Pulley ($50)
U-bend/Resenator Delete ($100)
3" catback/downpipe ($400)
With a few more mods like headers and a DHP they do mid to low 13s... Add 100 shot and you are in the 12s, but then the tranny eats it. I'm not at all interested in racing the GTP. I only bought it as a comfy daily driver and something my GF won't be afraid to ride in.
Don't worry... I'm not pulling a hughes and abandoning my camaro project for some FWD garbage.... lol

well it comes down to this.
there is no way i will be dropping 1200 on a new trany. i will be getting a T56, quitting my project car and doing the GTA up right. before a new trany crosses my door step. so this could be the end of the GTA for the rest of the summer.

well your gonna have a lot more than 1200 bucks into getting a t56 into that thing i bet, 1200 bucks is cheap for a well built auto...jamie has about 3000 into his 700 and stall, all hardened everything, they say its good for 750 hp, what are the t56s rated for????

The early T-56 are rated for 400Tq and the later ones are rated for 450Tq. It cost more then $1000 for the T56 to begine with, prolly closer to $1500 then theres the $500 plus clutch, not including the special crossmember, and all the auto to stick conversions.
Dude its your $ but personaly I think its a waste of it.
Way easier, faster and cheaper to just do a 700R4.
Plus your car will be faster with the auto, not only will it shift faster but it shifts one less time for its 1:1 then you do with a Stick. Its alot easier on your drive train so it'll save other things from breaking.

All so true, except for the waste of $$.
It does give me a challenge other than how fast to squeeze the throttle at the strip.
My car is almost twice as fun to drive now with the six! I ended up lucking out finding the trans almost new for super cheap, and a wrecker with all else needed used for about $400. I even used the used clutch for a year and the crappy stock shifter until the wallet filled again. My swap cost me what a built auto did.
You can fab a x-member from 4th gen the 6-speed one real easy.
I have plans for the mechanical speedo drive mods if anyone needs them.

I want you to speed up I cant keep holding back like I am
Theres a reason Y almost all the real fast cars are auto's at the strip.
6speedIROC if you can find me a good T-56 for only $400 let me know, best I have found yet was $1500 Geez some people hog all the luck
Trigger, to the point, ya asked me earlier on my opinion, well my opinion is that its not a good Idea to do that to your wifes car. Obviously I'd just stick in a built 700 and be done with it. But thats just my opinion, by all means feel free to do it.
