Another cat back question.

Ok, I have the 5.7 and the dual cats.. Now it's got this funky hog ring or whatever it's called on the end of it. Does any aftermarket company actually match up to this with their cat back systems? Or am I going to have to cut it off? I know the SLP system offers a matchup with one of their systems but it's only got the option for a single tailpipe and nothing else...
I'm mainly considering a Hooker system (do those dual tips on two tailpipes look good??) or a 40 or 80 series flowmaster.
Any ideas??

Do the tips on the Hookers look good?

I think so - personal preferance.

The tips on mine started to rust though a few days after I put them on.

However, I saw on a post recently that Hooker now has stainless tips.

the hooker cat-back system sounds pretty damn good from what i have heard. i have true duals with 2 hooker aerochambers and i think it sounds incredible. very deep at idle (it sets off car alarms) and sounds sweet when you get into the throttle.

as George said, the look of the hooker tips is a personal preference. he likes, but personally, i think they look terrible. again, personal perference. but you dont have to put them on if you dont like them. if you do put them on, use some chrome ploish regularily to prevent rust.
