A: Build something extremely fast but looks ok
B: Build something show condition but performs ok
(not slow but not insanely fast)
and why
need opinions

definately A
As long as the car isn't all rusty or something. When I start putting serious money into my car, I'm leaving the exterior all stock, SLEEPER!
I don't know, I appreciate a fast car much more than a pretty car
just my opinion!

B. Because if your car is at least nice, and runs decent u dont have to put as much of a strain on your self to try to fix the body, becuase its going to be on your mind a lot, like it is with me right now, I want to fix the body on my car, its getting worst!

A. i dont care what it looks like as long as its fast. i would love having a crappy looking car that can take down alot of good looking ones that have had thousands invested in them.

I'd have to say A myself, but i'd be happy with C: Performs ok, looks ok, - isn't a Canadian Sea King Helicopter which requires 30 hours of maintance for 1 hour of running time, which usually A and B end up being.
I guess i'm getting lazy lol

I'm greedy, I gotta have both. If it looks fast, it's gotta be fast, otherwise it's just another riced out sport compact. I've got the look (and hopefully even further improved in the spring) and now I'm working on the fast part. But I can't have one or the other.

I would have to say both, but I'm personally more aimed toward B. For instance, performance isn't the first thing on my mind right now with my car. To me my camaro is already a fast car, therefore I would much rather get some appearance mods done to my car before making it "a second or two" faster.
Like sprite says... "Image is everything, thirst is nothing. Obey your image" or something like that.

A... All the way. Get it going fast then, go for the looks. Take My Monte for instance. I could care less how it looks right now. I want it to go fast. Are you buying another F body Paul???? What you gonna get. Pontiac, or Chevrolet????

I'd like to have a fast car but the model I chose isn't exactly made to be a pavement peeler. I want to get my car back into near perfect condition, then I'll work on adding some go fast goodies. My short term goal is just to be able to keep it.Hopefully within the next 5 years I'll be able to get it where I want it to be.

I always like saying this to my cousin... your car looks good whenever I see from my rearview mirror...
He has an Acura R-something... (hey if I could read words properly when mirrored I'd tell you...) looks nice, nice stereo has even his own little import club.
He and his little crew are all about style and look and not about being jerks on the road nor flaunting speed they don't have or do have. I respect that because they focus on an aspect and make themselves look good at it.
I'd work on speed. I'm looking to make my car run 14's relatively stock and possibly 13's with some serious top end work.
A 305 in the 13's is fairly respectable to myself and that's what its really about.
If I were to build a 350 engine, I would not go small and aim 13's with that... that's like the 305 guys saying they're happy with 15's...

A, with this condition- It can't have rust/holes. If the paints faded, or otherwise superficially not great, you can repaint later. If the body (or worse the frame or floor) has holes, I'd wait until a better project car came along. I just don't want trouble keeping the thing road worthy. It has to be structurally sound and fixable or it isn't worth investing in.
Just my 2 cents.
