That would be cool a Christmas gathering. Well depending how far I would have to drive I'm in. Got noting better to do. J/K Hmmm. This may sound funny to all you youngsters but I don't do the old strip club seen anymore either. So... Plus we do have female members her too. But, whatever goes right. Sounds cool Paul!

I would still vote a strip gathering UNLESS any of the female members object and/or going to show up because of the venue..Cold weather,Hot girls, cool beer and shooters..mmmmmm

Or we can just go to a sport bar..then what?play pool??lol

Ill be there either way..

Crap! I'll I have is my Aerosmith shirt. You know the one with the hot A$$ and legs on the back! Excuse me. Trouble is, I was about 50lbs lighter then. Weighing in at 240 makes it hard to wear old close from my younger years. LOL!

Friday the 20th would be best for me. I have one more exam on the 21st, but it's not until 7pm.
Where are we considering having this meet? Hopefully not too far away from me. It would be nice to meet the regulars on this board.

Today i spent about 5 hours in the strip bar and now Im hooked. We have 2 across the street from school and classes got canceled so we got paid to look at "scenary"

This will be a hard meet to plan because nobody will be happy about the location, I was thinking about getting together in the middle of the day for a early dinner then we will work things out from there. If people want to go to the bar then they can and if people want to go home after dinner.

This is what I love about this message board- the fact that the people are able stay on topic. Paul started a Christmas Gathering thread and it immediately turned into Tell Us Your Fondest Memories of a Trip to a Peeler joint. Oh yay!

Tracey :You took the words outta my mouth .

Paul : Depending on when & where ......i might be there

I think that a sports bar or something like that would be best .
As for a Meet to a peeler joint .....i think that it's not the kinda place for a Christmas meet , not that i'm for or against it but .....i've been there done that before .......and any other time might be different .

If you want as many members to attend as possible
( which is the point of all this ) i think we should have it somewhere for everyone to enjoy ~!!!

As for the location ......not trying to be a parent here .....but remember this time of year there is a lot of ride programs going on all over ( trust me from 11 yrs of Towing experience ) .
Besides WE ALL want you to get home safe ......please plan ahead for that night !!

Mark

"Peelers" - Maybe you know this but in the UK police officers are often referred to as "Peelers" as a result Robert Peel being the founder of the British police force etc. Just something for you to knaw on for a bit.

George: I don't think we'd be going to the U.K. to see "peelers"..more likely it'd be the Ontario variety, which was what I was referring to. Kudos to you though for having heard of Robert Peel. Any guesses as to what his most noted accomplishment was and why we still speak of him here? Something for you to "gnaw" on George.

Kaz: Craig and I are bugging out right after I finish nights to celebrate in Niagara Falls. It's a little thing we like to do. I can't call in sick cuz I have been sick for real and don't wanna jinx myself. If a place, date, and time are set on the board and it's something do-able (i.e. Dec 18th or 19th somewhere in the Niagara Falls area), we'll try and make it. I don't expect anyone to bend over backwards though as I realize those are some pretty specific requirements.

Actually the Falls would be a great place to meet, but I'm sure the others had their hearts set on being closer to them. But hey who knows. If everyone brings their partners, the Falls can be a awesome site in the winter time. Lots to do here too. But like said, probably not practical. We've got the Casino! HA HA lol! Have to wait and see what arises from the idea of a Fbody Christmas party....

OOOHH the 19th eh??? Full Moon that night. HMMM what will you two be up to???? I wonder??? LOL J/K

Paul any strong ideas yet?????

Robert Peel EH??. The founder of the Metropolitan Police force in 1829, Was Prime Minister in 1834-35 and again in 1841-46. He was also the founder of the Conservative and Liberal Parties. He was not well like by some due to his jumping around and changing his mind on certain facts and issues. Oops I've hijacked Pauls thread...Sorry I'll stop.

One further hijack and I promise I'll stop...

He's credited with having created the concept known as Community Policing."...the police are the community and the community are the police". Words to remember should one find oneself in a job interview as a police constable candidate. Anyway, back to the real topic:
What dates are good for everyone? Would either the 18th or 19th work for anyone else?

Cool Tracey. However I can't ever see myself as any type of cop...no offence. I got in a bit of trouble when I was younger, hung around with the wrong crowd kinda deal. I am awaitng my pardon as we speak.

Back to the real subject here. Well I'm laid off right now, so just about anything is good for me. Anyone else????

Ever eat at Mick and Angelo's? That'd be my recommendation. It's a nice casual place with good food, big portions, nice atmosphere, and decent prices. Plus, most of the time in the off-season, you can park out front where you can see your car (for those of you who drive your fbodies year-round). They can accomodate groups too if they know we're coming.

Yes... Mick and Angelo's is a nice place. I don't go often but I went a couple of times and was very pleased with everything. Sounds like the begining of a plan. I haven't heard any other ideas, except the strip club stuff ( not interested ). Maybe it will just be us. LOL! No one else interested???? Or have any ideas anyway??????

I'm supposed to be working. Interesting though- particularly the sophistry about community policing and so on.

Heard good things about them....
I'm also certainly happy with the location.
Maybe if Paul picks a loctation 10 hrs away, us SOUTHERN Ontario-an's can head there. Get Nate out of hibernation, etc, etc.

Sorry Kaz the whole peeler thing turned me off this thread a long time ago... doesn't have the warm xmas feel to it you know?

Anyways, i', with Tracey on this one. The 18th/19th are great.

Otherwise pick a date and if we can make it we will. Dinner sounds great... maybe a place with a pool table or something(Camaro/Firebird grudge match)

LOL me too. Christmas and strippers don't work well together. 20th would be a better day probably for the overall view, but I am up for anything except the 21st ( family party) Can you and Tracey stay another day???? You know how it is. Firday everyone gets out to do things. Either or...
