Thank you, dumbass

A few years ago I was out for my last drive of the year before putting the car away for winter. I was on my way home when I got stopped at a stoplight on a highway. I figured this was the last chance to hit the throttle, so I let it rip one last time up to the speed limit.

Now I'm just cruising along at the speed limit and my eye catches a little flash of blue. I look in my rearview mirror at the cluster of traffic way behind me and I don't see anything. Couple seconds later my eyes catch a little flash of blue again. I look in my rearview mirror.... Oh crap. There is a police car in the crowd of vehicles trying to work his way to me.

My heart sinks. I've been pulled over only once in my life and it was 20 years ago. I'm just waiting for the inevitable when out of nowhere some guy on a crotch rocket motorcycle comes up next to my window, looks at me, and takes off at 100 mph or more. LOL! THANK YOU DUMBASS!!!

Police officer flew right by me in pursuit of the motorcycle. And I got my lucky little butt home!

Nice lol. Always a sinking feeling when you see those lights, especially after something like that. Then what a sigh of relief when they cruise on by!

I've been there many times. There is no middle ground. You're either safe or your out. Gotta find that nut and thank him. I truly envy his spirit.

Re: Thankyou, dumbass

Went on a poker run this weekend with a group of friends, we burned out at every intersection and must have ran a dozen red lights, not a single cop around for the entire run. So on the way home from the event I get pulled over for not signaling a lane change! WTF! He did cut me some slack and sent me on my way. Goes to show you just never know when a cop will pop up.

Re: Thank you, dumbass

lol
I hate that feeling. Left cruise night about a month back and right away a black/white was on my bumper. Followed me for 2 mi I was sure he was gonna pull me over as mines pretty loud and doesnt like being lugged. Hopefully I appeared as an old guy he finally left.

30 yrs ago one behind me meant I was going to jail every time. Learned to bring someone with me in hopes they could drive it home over impound.

I've had my Trans Am since 2012,never once got pulled over,my wife drove it to work this summer a bunch because her Yukon was a pos and she was sick of driving it.

She gets pulled over for doing 45 in a 30,cop is one she knows from working with some special needs kids,he asks her"do you know how fast you were going?"she says "you pulled me over, don't you know?"

She gets a warning were I would have gotten a ticket.

After the summer with my car the Yukon went to the great auction in the sky and she has a 16' Mustang now,and doesn't like sharing.
