Catching Mustang prey*video*

Ive been out most of the afternoon just testing and adjusting the car and recording as much as I can. I came across a few cars in traffic but nothing worth posting up video for.I jumped onto the highway and got tease by a Gtr plated "Gatzilla" He would blip it here and there, I rolled my windows down and turned on my cam but he wasnt having it. I cruised behind him just to see if he would atleast hit it so i could record it but he didnt.

On my return back from playing with the Gtr..I come up on a Black gt.Stock appearing but it was 2 younger guys out having fun.I get a chance to roll up beside them in 3rd and waited for them to hit it and then I rolled into it.They throw a thumbs up and cruised along...

Just as I had finished with them my ears pick up somebody haulin *** close by.I see a orange Stang making a pass.Ive seen the car locally and know it has some mods besides just exhaust. Threading through the crowds..we eventually get close enough to find a gap.Its was only when I got right behind his car I saw his tags "WhyTry". I was expecting to get a good run or gapped..but I wasnt going back down. Rolled up..dropped into 3rd and we both hit it about the sametime and the distance wasnt looking good for him as I waved out the window and shifted into 4th.I shut down just after that and got another thumbs up and proceeded to go home.

Nah..he wasnt really taking the bait to open it up so i coasted behind him for a bit and then he pulled off the highway. Thats when I turned back around and found the stangs to play with.

Re: Catching Mustang prey*video*

Also, you need to get a 8K rpm 6-cylinder tach to stop all that out of limits bouncing needle crap. i don't know how you can stand that.

Re: Catching Mustang prey*video*

I have other tachs.Seems no matter which cluster I use.The tach will bounce like that. I tried the pull up resistor..and without one.Samething...I have an autometer tach on the far left that works just fine and a shift light. I dont notice the tach anymore when Im flat footed anyway,no time to look down at gauges lol.I thought about diving into what exactly is causing the issue since this entire drivetrain came out of my previous transam and the same cluster didnt do it back then..but **** it.The tach isnt stopping me from beating up Fords!

... in a way. you're lucky that you have to hunt. By me, well, it gets out of hand every single night from April 1st through October 31st. A simple trip to the local seven eleven for your girl will lead to you calling her asking for bail money twenty minutes later lol, I sheet you not. Every damn stop light.

Re: Catching Mustang prey*video*

Dude, I used to do that stuff. The problem isn't you, it's the lunkheads driving the other cars. Better to just avoid challenges like that unless the road ahead is clear. Some grandma changes lanes at the last second for no reason at all isn't what is important. What is important is that she just moved into your lane and now it's too late.

Be careful you do not end up with a HTA172... (street racing/stunt driving for the non-ON people).

Re: Catching Mustang prey*video*

Yea that same day there was a blitz ..bunch of cars impounded on the 400hwy. A few exotics I heard.Crazy speeds over 200kmh.I barely tickled 140kmh in this video. Id much rather slow down to roll up to 140ish and shut down instead of going for top speed run...not my thing. I prefer dig races period but thats where i go to the track for most of my racing adventures.
