Guess my 0-60! Android spedometer?
Might be fun to see what times you guys think I can get for 0-60, and in a few weeks to a month I will take video of my best attempt and post it.
Also, has anyone have any experience with the android speedometer app? Seems accurate besides the 0-60. I mean it was a good 3-3.5 seconds off.
Here is my specs. Never dyno or anything like that. Pretty fresh only few hundred miles.
My spedo is about 1 - 2 mph faster.
-357
-10 to 1 compression
-Comp cams Xtreme energy cam 12-262-4
-69 Corvette double hump heads
-Edelbrock performer Rpm air gap intake
-650 Holley vacuum secondary
-1.5 rockers
-2500 stall Hughes torque converter
-Hooker Super Comp Headers 3 in.
-Hooker Y-pipe 3-2.5 in.
-Custom 2.5 exhaust, small cat, y-pipe to 2, 10" glasspacks rear.
Transmission
-700R4
-Corvette servoStage 1 shift kit
-Complete bushing kit
-Heavy duty clutch packs
-Updated sun shell
-Heavy duty band
-Hardened pump rings
-Teflon pump bushing
-10 vane pump
-Shift kit street strip
-500 boost valve
15" street tires on stock fin wheels, good tread.
3.23 posi rear.
91 octane.
1000 ft sea level.
unprepped surface.
Manual shifts around 5000-5200
Just curious what you guys think I could get 0-60 mostly, or quarter mile Times.

6.3 due to poor traction.
5.6 if you rolled into it and got it to hook any
4.5 if you had real good traction

Yeah I am happy with how quick it is.
My first pull last year I had 6.9
Replace cam, full exhaust, cold air,
Now I have 5.9.
How good of launch was that? I can't really full throttle at the start. I start half and then go full throttle and then it keeps spinning anyway.

Yeah I heard that and saw it on the tach. Not bad for just learning to launch the car.. Work at it more though and you can get those numbers down a lot.
Try this... Hold brake hard with left foot, right foot on throttle, ease into the throttle until you start to spin... Look at the RPM at which that happens.
Now left foot hard on brake, right foot on throttle, bring RPM up to 200-300 RPM below the point it started to spin at. Now keep steady pressure on throttle and yank your foot off the brake and now slowly but steadily add more and more throttle until you feel it grab good.
Practice that enough and learn your car and you can launch it with NO tire spin... It will take you longer to get to full throttle but your times will still be faster than with all that tire spin.
Once you get where you can do the above, your 0-60 time will drop be atleast .5 seconds, maybe even .8
With my car I'm not at 100% throttle until like 35 mph.. Mine is a very diff beast but I still "roll into the throttle" to get it to hook.
2.9 seconds 0-60 mph, all aftermarket rear suspension, drag radials, 3500 stall, 3.89 gear, etc etc.
If I just mashed the pedal, I would have bad tire spin and my 0-60 would be in the 3.8 range.
