I have no idea how fast my GTA is, and for this debate it doesnt matter, I just added that for comedy.

My point is that Profiler heads are some of the best kept secrets in 23 degree SBC heads, and my good buddy Joe is spreading incorrect info...

I should note, look closely at the numbers. The AFRs were NOT flowed at .100 lift, the Profilers were, so keep that in mind when comparing the numbers folks.

Yes those are the littlest Profiler heads, and they do a dang good job from what I can tell. I was hesitant to put them on my 383, but once I got them touched up and on the 'bench, they flowed so well I was ecstatic. I can't think of a better head for the type of engine I was building. With the little cam and strong compression with a super ram this engine has great power everywhere in the power band and pulls strong. My drag race buddies tell me it feels like a low 12 high 11 car for whatever thats worth. The car does repeatably get 27mpg on the highway too. Anyone that claims the intake ports on these heads don't have velocity hasn't looked at the numbers.

Also to be clear, I did some mild cleanup around the valve guide, minor bowl blend, and I laid the cambers open slightly to unshroud the valves and because I needed to lose a little compression. I also did some cleanup around the spark plug boss, then polished the chambers and exhaust ports. There was no opening of the ports, and no reshaping the roof, floor or walls of the ports. I just did a simple clean up job.
