Modded up 2000 WS6 vs 98 Vette stock

Here the race. I have some mods like exhaust.Dynomax and high flow cats. Custom tuned Eprom and MSD ignition 6al and wires. In the process of buying a super charger(paxton novi 2000 12psi). Im pretty sure ill win but want opinions. He would beat me stock but not modded. With supercharger i think ill beat him. Both cars are automatics. Everyone at work is going to watch the race at the old airfield. near where we work. So i want bragging rights. We are racing for the closest parking space of all things. Im bolting on my supercharger tomorrow. And friday afternoon is race day. So lets see some opinions

I certainly hope you will win. I have seen a 2000 Camaro SS, that only went 12.9's in the quarter, spank a 1999 vette. The new vettes(not the Z06), I think only run very low 13's. That's about what you should run. And with the blower, if you don't win, the earth would spin out of it's orbit, the planets would collide, the heavens would fall, the universe would collapse in on itself, the sun would.........You get the idea. Just make sure you get a good launch and don't burn the tires off the car. Just ease into the gas off the line and once it gets going let her rip. If you are running stock tires you may want to lower the air pressure to maybe 20 or so psi(note: don't drive around like this too long). Good luck, as if you need it.

Are you saying a stock 2000 SS ran a 12.9? I think not when the WS6 is quicker(my friends all have them) and they run like a 13.3, 13.4 on good days at Thunder Valley. The rest of what you said was true cept for the part about the tires, street radials do not need the air pressure dropped unless you like LESS traction. Lower pressure makes the tread patch cup upi and the center of his tire wouldn't even be touching the ground. How do I know this, I'm a tech. I say just stick 35lb in the back and stick a few more pounds in the front(less rolling resistance) and with your mods it will be a fun race, you should do well.

w/o the supercharger it should be close, but the vette might take you, w/ the supercharger, no question at all, WS6.

actually, lowing air pressure in stock tires DOES help traction, retard. You cant argue with results. I almost pulled a 1.9 60ft with my car, and look at the mods I've done...practically nothing! Maybe 20psi is a little low, i usually lower mine to 25, no less. All I know is that I get less traction when they're pumped up all the way, compared to when I lower them to 25psi.

DaBandit,
You misunderstood what I meant about the Camaro SS. I was saying that the Camaro only ran 12.9's and spanked the vette. It wasn't stock. I was saying that the vette couldn't even hang with a 12.9 car, let alone a Trans am with a blower. don't forget there are those freak cars out there that are just a little faster than advertised, a guy i know ran a 13.1 with a stock 2000 Camaro SS automatic. Oh and sorry about the info on the tires if it is wrong. I just have a friend with a blower on his car with stock tires and he lowered the tire pressure and ran a couple of tenths better. And I hope this clear sup any confusion about what i meant.

Ok, stock these cars are only a few tenths off each other. With a few mods you should be able to tie a vette. Now with the supercharger you should be able to make him look REALLY dumb, assuming you can drive. Car VS. Car your car is faster.

Are the mods you listed every mod you have? Do you have the 3.23 gear or 2.73 gear? How about his car?
