OK GUYS READ AND HELP ME OUT!!!

OK this is the deal I dated a girl for 2 1/2 years she broke my heart for another guy. Don't worry I already beat his *** . He bought
a 1994 Z28 so she went out and bought the 97
anniversory edition Z28 white orange stripes.
What can we do the 305 to take them out.
OK this is what I have done to the car.
88 305 TPI .030 over TRW pistions, rods plasma moly rings, SLP roller cam, SLP siamesed runners, Edelbrock TES, aluminum driveshaft, Borla cat back, K&N,MSA distributer, MSD 6AL,blaster2 coil 700r4 w/ shift kit, vette servo, and convertor lock up switch. Off the top of my head thats about it. No I did not pay to have the 305 built I bought a 87 IROC and the motor was already in it I personally would have put together a 350 but what can you do. What do I have to do know besides build a 350. Thanks

Well I would definitely get better flowing heads, headers, and you are probably gonna need a shot of nitrous(I would say a 100 HP shot would be enough to win)

Exactly how much power dot eh 94 & 97 make, its not all that much. In the 270ish HP range I think. All you need is a 100shot of NOS and you will kill them. I would be curious to see how this race turns out, as I also have a mid 90ish Z-28 at my school I want to race with my 86 TA. Please psot your results and good luck.

I second that opinion. OR look at my sig and add header you will kill them to. Unmoded LT1's will only run run low 14's. To cover my butt though there are factory freks out there running 13's from the factory.

Yeah, new heads would be a good idea. Even if its just a pair of vortecs.
I hope (if the race hasn't already happened) that you kill the both of them.
With all of the ignition upgrades you have, along with the pistons, your engine is begging for nitrous.

I already have the headers so that's one biggy out the window. As for the heads I was thinking the World S/R torquers. Does anybody have them yet. This is not a scheduled race or anything so I have plenty of time it just sucks that my ex and her new boyfreind have faster cars than me. The best part of it is she is 19 and shes rippin around in a 97 Z convertible. Why the hell didn't she have this car when I was dating her. The horsepower in those cars are 275 so its going to take a lot for the 305 to handle. Nitrous may be the only way out. How big of a shot if the system is 75-150. I personally would go with a 100 but what do you guys think. Thanks

Well man i can say i have a 2000 ws6 but automatic. I got my revenge when i pulled next to my ex and her new d?ck's cheese stang (v6). Can you believe he tried to race. Even in a v6 bird i'd would have smoked him like a clinton. I was 2 car lengths by the end of the intersection. I cant complain because she cheated on me and i left her for a hooter girl who im ironically engaged too. So in affairs of the heart i hope your engine swap or nitrous boost helps that painful yearn to get even. I know in my heart i feel a whole lot better by smoking her and her man. It darn made me laugh so hard i almost wrecked. The race was a laugher. I have a 305 iroc and am currently swapping 350. Without nitrous 305 has no chance against LT1. So be careful or god will be vengeful and blow your motor.
PS good luck

just for the hell of it, if you do plan to juice it, slip the 150's in when you race, if youre afraid of long term use, l've gone through 15-16 bottles of nitrous through my stock block 305 with 70,000 miles on it, its still to this day is running better than it ever has (the 150's will definately smoke them) by the way-your x woman wants to race you? whats the deal with that?

is her '97 an auto or manny? It being a convertible should slow it down a little bit. if its an auto i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say she's runnin anywhere from 14.3-14.5, you really dont need to do a lot to a TPI 305 to get it that fast. The webmaster for TransAmGTA.com (all T/A owners please register there!) has a '92 305/auto GTA that runs 14.6@96mph with drag radials, all he's done is a cam swap, K&N, FLowmaster, and TB Airfoil (did i mention he had snail-like 2.73's?)...now if he'd add some headers and some better heads he'd no doubt be into the 13's. Use that to help ya out...

dude, nothing makes girls jealous like other girls (even after a break-up) it's a girl thing, if you spend your time grease monkying around, you will never get laid again! it sounds like your car runs fine, real girls don't care about cars anyways, you need to get out of the house, brush up on your game, and get a chick(s) that is just as good looking or better looking than your ex. never mind her boyfriend,he's just like you, can't blame him. it's her you want to get even with, right? pay no attention to her, your a free man, enjoy it while you can!!!! trust me on this.....deep down inside she will be jealous because girls are like that.
ps.........juice,gears,traction you'll be all over those 4th gens, just do some dyno runs so you don't clown yourself.

Well guys don't worry about me over her that is a done deal. I have a new broad anyway. I just wanted to know if I could beat her if it ever came down to it. The new chic I have is into older style cars and this weekend she is going to pick up a 1974 Nova. It needs a ground up restoration but not a big deal. I took her to the local drag strip on Friday night and she got bit with the "gearhaed syndrome." So she is going to buy a toy to drag pretty cool ain't it.

Get gears, 3.42's like i have, they should really help you out. for the most part your already their with them, with ur specs you should be able to beat my car and although i cant beat any new 4th gens, the only one i ever raced was a 99 T/A with an AT and flowmaster cat and he only got me by a few car lengths, oh yea, that 2001 SS i raced with an AT got whooped in 2nd gear by me, of course once i hit 3rd i saw his pretty little spoiler = /

The gears are no prob I already have an Auburn posi 3.73 in there. So the gears are spoken for I really need the power and I don't know if the 305 has it. But I will bottle feed her and hopefully the 150 shot will do it.

I forgot to add that I just put a JET chip in her along with a 160 thermostat, a Randon Technologies high flow cat and bumped the timing to 14 degrees. I am thinking about underdrive pulleys, World S/R torquer heads and a 2400 B&M stall convertor so we will have to wait and see!
