Nice story. Makes me wish I had an L98. If I were in the same situation, I wouldn't have a chance.

I never thought somebody could get aroused by a car so easily. This guy in the story needs to jerk off and get it over with.

psst, I think the guy that wrote the article is lying. If you go to the media section of IROC-Z.org, the first 4 movies are of his car, but says that its a 305, auto, w/4.11 gears. but thats ok, I tell people i have a 350 all the time

I have a 350 TPI. With Flowmasters. And I wish the stereo had more bass. especially when listening to Metallica.. If you want to get technical, 5,800 is pushing it with the stock TPI (according to John Lingelfelter 4,800 is it).
However. THIS GUY NAILED IT. I know how he feels.

Car: 1992 Camaro Z28
Engine: 406
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 4.10 GM 7.5 10-bolt
When people ask me if I have a 350, I say "No, it's a 305 with a cherry bomb muffler and K&N's."

Same here, people always ask if its the 350,but i think the 305 cars with the 5 speed are great for having a grasp on that power, the auto sucks,i will swap my tired 305 out this winter although, not sure if i am going to go with the 350tpi or an lt1 or ls1,but i know i want a manual.Honestly i dont think the difference between the 305 and 350 is all that much, what are the #s?,an extra 30hp(?),i think a chip, pulleys, and exhaust will pick up the difference.

you wanna know why I lie about my engine StormshadowGTA? because i have the crappy 305/AUTOMATIC, not the T-5. I wouldnt be ashamed if i had 5-speed cuz i'd at least be in the low low 15's if not high high 14's. But nooooo, i got the sh*tty automatic thats runnin a 15.3 on the best day possible. and also I agree with MikeD too, i hate it when people ask "you got a 350, right?" and I hate disappointing them when i say its a 305 and they just HAVE to say "I thought these things came with 350s" then I always gotta explain the whole $200 off the sticker price if you had the dealership put in the 305 or whatever, and the only HP difference between the '88 305 5speed and 350 was FIVE HP (225-220), thats practically nothing and of course i'd have 220 hp too if I had the 350 cam p....question though, is it hard to convert auto to manual?
