20psi! look inside
Hey to 20psi and anybody else from the Washington DC, Va area. For all of you who dont know, there is this metro station in New Carrolton that has a 1/4 strip that everyone goes to on friday and saturday nights around midnight to street race. Anyways, Channel 9 news just did a special report on what we call 'Metro'. I thought it was pretty funny, my mom showed me, so I guess she knows we go up there. But my question is, do you think the police should be so strict against street racing? In my mind its pretty safe because its so late at night that there is virtually nobody in the area. A couple years ago some guy got killed up there when he got into a fight with a racer and he got ran over. It was his own fault for pickin the fight anyways. But ever since then the cops have been down our throats, always breakin up the action every 15-30 minutes or so. I'm gonna miss going up there if they put jersey walls up again :*(

Street racing will always occur in my opinion and instead of cracking down on everyone they should build facilities to accomadate those that have a need for speed. The closest strip for legal racing near me is like 2 hours away.I understand there is a risk but it all usaully occurs at night and if a driver gets hurt i am sure he knew the risk that he was taking...just my .02

I saw the report and had it taped (after that reality tv thingy). Im the one that has been there for more than a decade (NEWS9 was looking for me). It has been worse since all the import stuff is getting bigger. I was out there Saturday with the Tahoe and there was probably 400 people there. That spot was getting crazy and out of control but no one goes down to V-Street anymore.
The guy that was killed was not a racer and should not have been there starting fights. It happened a couple of months ago. V-street was closed 3 years ago because someone was killed there too.
