89' Vs. 07 GT.
Just a quick story for you guys, One of my buddies from work just bought a stock 07' GT that is his new baby.. Washes and waxes this car everyday. I was heading home the other night and i decided to see if he would want to run so I got up beside him and the light turned red, light turned green and he ripped out of the hole and I bogged the Camaro out so he got a jump but I stopped his pull very quickly and started running him down. We let off and came up to another stop light. This time I was ready and came out of the hole much better, still bogged a little but it also has 3.23 gears. :O From about 2500k-4500k we were about even then my car hit the powerband where the cam comes in and I started to walk away. By the time we hit 80-90 I was about 3-4 cars ahead. I can't launch the car very well either b/c I either bog it or I spin one wheel (POSI is burned out) Either way another score for the 3rd gens!

Yea it's really limiting me, so are the 3.23's... She runs a 13.5 @107. I know she's at least got a low 13 in her if i get better gears and a good working POSI unit. She really bogs out of the hole... Power doesn't really come on until about 4000-4500rpms... Its a huge seat of the pants difference. Really picks up and will pull right to 6500rpms..

if your pulling to 6500 rpm's you might want a steeper gear especially if your running the t-56

I think you'd be pretty happy with 3.73's with the t-56 you'd still get good fuel mileage on the highway

I think 4.10s would be the way to go with the T56. If your going to do it, do it once, and right. You won't notice much of a difference if MPGs, but you'll be driving a whole different animal.

That's partially true. But if he still wants to get incredible MPG's the 3.73's are where i'd go.

Always, I mean there was a car but we were out of it before we were even close and I had already started walking away before we even got close... I hate ***** excuses. Now my boss is saying that his stang will rape my car, I'm like fine lets take them to the track. He tells me I'm stupid for wanting to take it to the track, then STFU and don't say anything! Jeez i hate stupid F*cks!

Re: 89' Vs. 07 GT.
Me n two of my friends went to the track this past sunday. I drove the 2007 Charger RT, my cousin drove his 2010 SS Camaro, and the third friend drove a 2007 Mustang GT. This was the first time the 3rd friend had ever been to the track so we didnt really know what kind of time the 2007 GT would run. Like always the charger ran a 16.0 the camaro ran a 14.3, but that GT when it was that GT's turn it only ran a 17.1! of coarse we are at 6000' at the track. My Stock z28 ran faster times 15.2.

I know what I'm going to start racing!
Are you sure it was a V8 GT? Was it stick or auto?

Re: 89' Vs. 07 GT.
Its a V8 manual with full exhaust but it is pretty loaded with leather, shaker 1000 stereo etc... Talking to him he said he was shifting at 4500rpm lol so thats why its so slow I told him he should probably be shifting 5500-6000 rpm probably. I doubt it will even make it into the mid 15's tho
