350 chevy rough idle/engine stalling
I just got an 84 Z28 recently, it's had a 350 crate enginr put in with a Holly 4 Carb. I've had it for a couple weeks and everything has been fine, but recently the engine has had rough idle, and now it's stalling out mid drive. The engine bay reeks of gas, and oil pressure and battery gauges fluctuate with the rough idle. Engine also shakes with rough idle. Thoughts on potential issues? I'm new to engines so pics/vids on problem solving appreciated.

Sounds like a fuel level problem.
Lower the primary float by about a full turn and see what happens.
If it's a REAL OLD Holley, it might also have a blown-out power valve. If so, get the "protection" kit for that, and of course a new PV.

Both the engine and carb are new
And somehow that means ... what? that they're "perfect" somehow?
Check the fuel level in the bowls. Great place to start.

No of course not, but thanks to your input, I'm looking up videos on how to adjust the fuel levels in the Carb, will report back with my findings
