Opinions on Fitech Go Street EFI 400HP

Hey gents, need some help!

I'm in the final decision process of going with an ATK 383 / EFI engine for my 84 Camaro Berlinetta (305/700r4).
Engine link: https://atkhp.com/product/atk-hp94c-...ech-efi-415hp/

ATK site says I need the electric fuel pump for this, but pretty sure more is needed, right?

EFI System: Fitech Go Street EFI 400HP (throttle body, wire harness and hand held unit included)

From what I've read I also need to modify my fuel tank to handle the EFI, which I understand requires the send & return lines to the tank.

Anyone done a Q-Jet to Fitech swap? What else do I need to do this?

Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Jim

I swapped my 82 TA years ago w an Edelbrock system and originally used an inline pump. As time went on I updated the EFI and ran new lines and used and aeromotive stealth tank with a built in pump. The aeromotive setup is great. They sell it as an entire setup or just the pump/sender. You're gonna need to run at least one new line so you basically have 2 6AN lines from the tank to the engine, I believe the stock feed is close enough. You need two lines that size to prevent the pump from overheating and to allow the pressure regulator to do its job. I ran 2 new 6AN lines. Aeromotive recommends that size up to 750 hp.
I have 450hp and it works great, the engine is gonna get some boost soon and the fuel sys should be adequate.

you'll need a full fuel system basically. Pump/line(s), filter(s), a regulator and relay/wires.

it's all pretty easy, just a bit of time.

Re: Opinions on Fitech Go Street EFI 400HP

I’ve daydreamed of an FI swap.

I’ve considered the 4th gen tank for the in tank pump… swap to fi hose and reuse factory fuel tubing and the corvette filter/regulator…

Leaves the car closer to stock, parts store components make it easy to maintain and oem reliability.
