So! Who knew there were different injector connector clips?

I am trying so hard to get this 88 Iroc buttoned up and started for the first time since owning it. I think my little boy lost my little bag of these clips so now I am in trouble as you can't buy them new and no salvage yards in my town have any cars that have them.

So anyway, my 88 has these connectors with this square tube style injector clips:

I have a spare 1987 harness and pulled a clip to test it. Nope. It will not work. Its this rounded style and flat-out will not work:

Soooo I might have to cut all of my injector connectors off and install a different style at this point. Does anyone know if other vehicles used this same style square tube clip?

You can buy them new. They come attached to new clips. Worst case you can depin yours and stick them in new ones.

A brief search of the entire Interwebz (12,345,678,901 sites, .001745 milliseconds) yielded this result:

https://www.google.com/search?q=injector+retainer+clip

In case any of them look like what you're wanting.

Do you know if the newer version will work? I just googled and looked at Summit. These show a rounded metal body but appear to be the same shape.

Nope, none of those are the correct one.

Any EV1 injector connector will work. You don't need your specific connectors, you just need 8 complete ones.

I'm just wanting the metal clips. I'd rather not depin all of them to swap connectors but if that is the only option, I'll have to.

Yeah those 16 connections could take you upwards of 16 minutes to change out.
