Crane roller rockers
I took the valve cover off so I could retorque the heads because I am losing coolant. The heads were tight. And found out I have Crane roller rockers. And the intake has been off, RTV by water jacket on intake/head. Makes me wonder what else has been done.

Looks like, not much. Not enough, in any case.
Still has the stock valve springs with those stooooopid oil splash shields and the "rotators" on the exhausts.
Torquing head bolts is not EVER the answer to coolant loss. In fact, depending on what sealer they used on the threads, and even more so if they've never been off, that will CREATE leeeeeeks. Let's hope that's not the case here. More likely, if coolant is disappearing and you don't really "see" it anywhere, it's the water pump. Look at the bottom side of the bottom radiator hose, from underneath, and see if there's any trace of fluid running down the hose from above.

I checked the water pump all the way down to the bottom of the lower radiator hose. It wasn't well from fresh coolant. It had some engine grime on the bottom of the water pump/rad hose. I cleaned it off with brake clean and a rag. I'll keep checking it.
