Recommendation for new fuel tank?
Anybody have any recommendations for a good fitting aftermarket fuel tank? I see dorman and spectra both offer them but seem hit and miss especially on spectra. Really want something that will fit without a major fight. Hopefully I don’t need one but I would rather be prepared once the tank is dropped.

Re: Recommendation for new fuel tank?
I met up with a guy who had a 90 or 91 Camaro he was working on, he told me he was going to use a 4 th gen poly tank.
Might be worth looking into.
I’m a bit away from trying it out ( have a ‘97 my kid got for the T56) but was going to see how the fit was since the rearend just came out of the ‘89.

Re: Recommendation for new fuel tank?
I thought about that but haven’t looked into how much modification it takes. I want to get this done before snow flies and not risk the failing pump giving up the ghost over winter hibernation.
Last night I found a few reviews eventually and ordered a Dorman replacement. Seemed to be slightly better than Spectra. Also availability is tight right now but got lucky and the local autozone will have one in 2 days. My tank “looks” clean but want to be prepared just in case and have the ability to easily return if not needed.

Re: Recommendation for new fuel tank?
Sorry for the confusion, I said aftermarket just because you can’t get OE from the dealer.
I am looking for stock style and really only saw 2 options available, spectra or dorman and reviews I’ve seen slightly favor the dorman based on fit. My assumption is they are made in the same plant.
How was the fit with the Spectra?
