Friends reSurfaced Cylinder Head

This is a used procomp head borrowed from a friend and the deck is the worst I've ever seen. Still honestly I don't mess with this stuff a ton but between all the heads I've ever seen, including several friends I've helped over the years, I've never seen one this rough. So if you wanna comment on the video n let my friend know what yah think thx, for me just comment here. He's not into forums or online stuff so if you want him to know comment on the video, that would be the only way he'll see it. [Full disclosure, comments help my video so if you don't wanna help my video, then don't like or comment on it.] I've included a picture for those who don't wanna watch the video.

Re: Friends reSurfaced Cylinder Head

Yeah that's not really acceptable.

Just get it re-done.

I have no comment re. "friend" or the video. Nothing that can be said about any of it, that will reduce the roughness, or otherwise allow that to seal reliably. Best to just let it go and get it done right.

Re: Friends reSurfaced Cylinder Head

Won't seal with an MLS gasket for sure. Might seal with a composite gasket but that's rough enough that it's not a sure bet in my opinion. I agree it should be re-done. The insert in their CBN cutter is hot garbo and their feed speed is questionable. That's not even cutting it's just ripping and tearing material off and smearing it across the surface.
