Need new damper / balancer for L69... suggestions?
Installing a rebuilt L69 into my Firebird while I work on my other motor.
Noticed the harmonic balancer / damper rubber has cracking on this one.
There are SO many to choose from... 6" to 8", solid, hollow... I just don't know what to get.
Motor is stock aside from a cam/intake/headers/ECU delete.
Would an OEM one be fine? If so, which would you order?
Thanks guys!

I've used the summit brand balancer. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...t/model/camaro Quality is pretty good. Has held up perfectly for several years and not expensive. My machine shop even recommends them for near stocks apps. Use whatever size balancer that matches your timing tab. I think thirdgens V8s were all 6in.

A good parts-store replacement, such as Pioneer, is another option. Which might in fact be what Summit is providing.
