700r4 doesn't shift after tpi to Carb swap

Just finally got my Carb to idle down enough to drive and the trans sticks in 1st gear and won't shift up, even manually all I get is first gear. Would the TV cable completely prevent shifting? I thought it would just give a sloppy delay shift..I have the geometry corrector installed on the carb also.

Help!

Yes. TV cable lets the transmission know where the throttle is at.

Resolution to this - I adjusted the TV cable and leveled off the trans fluid, car now shifts perfectly.
