Dropping oil pan with a aftermarket k member?
I searched and there seems to be quite the debate between dropping the pan with the engine in the car or just pulling the engine. I read a lot of people say it's not worth all the effort trying to do it under the car.
But is it easier with an aftermarket UMI K member and moroso oil pan? I'm torn here if I should just suck it up and pull it. Or attempt to do it by raising the engine. Anyone have any experience doing it with an aftermarket k member?

It all really depends on what all you are going to do.
To me its as easy from the bottom with stock and easier with aftermarket Ks.
The problem is mostly not having the correct tools.

I once changed my main bearings on my lunch hour (with a aftermarket K-member in the car).

To me there appears to be more room than a stock setup. But it doesn't look like it would be a easy job either from underneath. I'm reading people have to jack up there engine so high, that the top of the bell housing starts hitting. And that's without removing the bolts from the transmission mount. That kind of scares me, seems like a lot of stress. But I can't take a small oil leak from a brand new engine. It's starting to drive me nuts. All I need to do is change the pan gasket. I'm pretty sure it's not the RMS.
