Re: NGK spark plugs
I'm not a "plug-o-phile" and have used quite a few different plugs over the years. Nothing wrong with NGK's, AC's etc…
I've never found one really any "better" than the other. Then you have what I call "designer" plugs….split fire, four fire or whatever..you can run into issues with those on some types of ignition systems.
It's more important to get the proper heat range on whatever plug you buy….or course it needs the proper reach, thread size etc…
I currently run Accel shortie plugs…could care less about the brand. I just use them because I run shorty headers and they keep the plug boots further away from the header tubes.

Re: NGK spark plugs
10 bucks for 4-spark plugs seems too high for my taste. I run AC-Delcos like what came in my crate engine from gmpp and they're only 7 bucks or so a pack from the local parts store, no shipping costs either.
It's up to you, I wouldn't waste the money on shipping and mark ups when you can get a comparable plug from just down the street for cheaper. It's the little things that add up in costs.

And there's as many of those "Bear" fans in my part of the state as Packer fans, so I just deal with it….

Here on the south side of the border in FIB-Land (or, Extreme Southern Wisconsin as I call it) I'm not so much a fan, just an owner. Somehow I've been coexisting with Bear fans for several decades. One thing no one can take away is that they seem just as loyal as cheese-heads. A little misguided, perhaps, but loyal fans nonetheless.
As for the plugs, NGK and AC are many times the same plug (branded for GM). NGK has a good quality ceramic, and they've been making good plugs for a long time. That said, Champion has been making good plugs for an even longer time. AFAIK, only Champion and Auburn make plugs for FAA/PMA certification - No Autolites, no NGKs, no ACs, and certainly no Accel or "Ralph Lauren" plugs. That should be a hint to reliability.
Accel has some sizes which are especially handy in tight quarters, but if you don't need them, stick with a reliable name. I can almost assure you that Accel buys plugs made to their specification instead of making them. If you can get a name brand manufacturer in the appropriate size, material, projection, and heat range, you probably won't find any better.

I also dig the NGK's. It's all personal preference at this point. Do it and love it, bro!
