Oil Pressure
Out of curiosity, What is the normal oil pressure at idle for a TBI L03 in my 91 Camaro RS? It reads normal at cruising but drops pretty low at idle and just want to make sure everything checks out. Oil is rather important.

Re: Oil Pressure
Typical Chevy trait, probably great when oil is cold and while running, but at idle mine reads flat 0 ... talking to a lot of other guys, they see about the same.

Re: Oil Pressure
My TPI when cold reads 60 psi. That's just because its cold. As it warms up, pressure starts to drop as it should when the oil thins out. At full operating temp and at idle, my oil pressure stays at 15 psi.

Re: Oil Pressure
I don't know what the spec is on the 305, but if you're worried, do a measurement with a mechanical gauge. The electric pressure sender isn't reliable in the low end of the scale, even when new. It's fine for getting your attention but anything it says needs to be verified.
