Time for a new pump?

So instead of a faint whine I couldn't hear with the engine running my fuel pump suddenly started to sound like I was being followed by a jet plane. Is that a definite sign it needs to be replaced?

Re: Time for a new pump?

I just started driving my trans am again after putting a new tranny in and a couple days later my pump started doing the same thing, every time i hit the gas it hums loud, i also got a code 44 for lean exhaust, starting to think my pump is going too

Re: Time for a new pump?

Is the Walbro 255 lph (summit part no. GCA758-2) a direct replacement for the v6 like the v8s?
