POP Goes The ENGINE !!
This is what I found when I pulled the valve cover ...LOOKS LIKE TIME FOR A NEW ENGINE AGAIN..... the guys that put the heads on broke a bolt than tried to use RTV and JB Weld to GLUE IT IN ..

Broken bolt should be extractable. JB Weld and RTV for a bolt is "kinda scary." Whether or not the deck needs to be dealt with is another story entirely. GL either way. I'm in Joliet, man I hope I never run into that shop.

what scares me is I have run a LOT of NOS through this slug of an engine and to think that some one would find this an acceptable repair is just GROSS Negligence I am going to pull heads inspect clean and install new Gaskets and ARP bolts which is what I paid for in the first place 4 years ago .. (these are not ARP BOLTS) check compression again and go from there ..
THE GOOD NEWS IS THE SHOP IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS so no Worry there !!

Was kind of wondering if they would still be around or not....Definitely for the best that they're not. Surprised she didn't give any issues on the jug, I wouldn't be too surprised to find out you were running a decent sized amount of spray on it.
Was also going to ask as I didn't see ARP on the top of the bolts. Have been hearing marginal things about the LS1 studs and them actually holding worse than stockers. God I hope I didn't get bit in the *** when I stuck bolts in my 305.

last three years.. with about 12 passes at the drag-strip
oil look super clean nothing in the filter at all .. I am going to pull drivers head while still in car fix bolt check deck out ,, R&R gasket than do another compresion test if pressures comes up to what the other side of engine is doing I will try and save it and run one more season out of it.. otherwise JUNK !!!!! I will pull pasenger head if drivers side is ok .. garbage if not
