Anyone have these heads Patriot 185cc PN 2169 (GOT MINE PICS ADDED 1/29/14)

I am thinking of buying some promaxx Patriot 185cc PN 2169 they seem to make good power and the price is not bad. Anyone have them?

I'm also considering these heads, I want to run them with a Holly Stealth Ram. I've been doing some research & I'm hearing alot of good things about them.

Search Promaxx Heads & then click on the web & images link, a bunch of info on them will come up.

i have the iron version of those heads PN 2151.

I really like them. No issues that i have not seen with any other big name head. Make good power through the entire RPM range with my XE274 cam

After glancing through the 3 page thread that MMroc86 posted….they seem like a decent deal to me. A lot of suspicious posts by those that never tried them, but I look more at the posts of people that own them…and they all seem satisfied with them. They certainly look nice for the price!

Re: Anyone have these heads Patriot 185cc PN 2169

I have these heads on another type of car. THEY ARE AWESOME! I'm a die hard believer in Patriots now. I was skeptical at first but after reading some reviews I went ahead and bought them. If I had to do it all over again, I'd do the same thing.

Re: Anyone have these heads Patriot 185cc PN 2169

I have the angle plug version. Work and look great but spark plug access is terrible with SLP headers. Can only get compression tester hose into about 4 holes out of 8.

The casting lines look worse in the pics then they do in person probably because of the shadows.

How aggresive a cam can be run with these heads & still have good street manners? Looking at the flow chart it looks like they flow well to .600

I was going to say that the shift on the intake port from top to bottom looked terrible, like they are not aligned properly when it was casted. Not saying they are bad but it makes me wonder if other details like the tolerance between the valves and valve guides are good.

I do they are ok but nothing great. They are weak on power numbers on my 360. IT runs 13.30 with 2.77 gear and 3640lbs with driver. Not bad for the money but better options now in 2019.

A bit of a necro on this post, but you don't mention what the rest of your setup is so it's hard to make a real judgement, but with a 2.77 rear gear I don't think 13.30 is half bad.
