Dies for no reason but restarts afte 5-6 hours.
<<<<<<<< Car (TPI) runs really good, but I went for a drive last weekend and was pulling up to a stop sign and it died for no reason. I immediately tried to start it and I heard it "hit" barely the first time I tried to restart.
I went back about an hour or two later and it still would not restart.
Waited 4-5 more hours and it started right up as if nothing ever happened. Let it run in the garage this weekend for about 45 minutes trying to get it to die, so I could start diagnosing.....no luck.
The blower is disconnected, distributor was recently replaced, CTS, TPS, IACV, plugs, wires, injectors, fuel filter, TB new, EGR block-off plate installed, headers.
Just got a new GM coil, but I am waiting until I can recreate this issue before I slap it on the car.
I couldn't do any diagnosing on it when this happened...no tools with me.
Appreciate some good suggestions on likely culprits.
Thanks.

If you indeed lost spark then I would go after ignition module or coil. Coils (when they go bad) can suddenly stop working when they get hot and then once cooled down completely they start working again. Same thing can happen with the ignition module.
