trimming gaskets metal/dry runner gaskets

I'm trying to trim my ported high flow intake runner gaskets and they are a stock metal with the gasket material over them. Some of the gasket is less than 1/4 of an inch thin. I'm worried the metal is cracking and will leak.

Options are use them and hope they hold, reuse the old ones since they came off pretty clean, or coat the crap out of the new ones since it is above the injectors and won't come in contact with gas.

Any suggestions? Have to do this this weekend cause I'm instructing hpde this next weekend and due to work schedule I don't have any time to work on it this week.
