Daul Snorker ram air+ Fog light Ram Air? Pics inside
Ok guys, here is one of my crazy ideas for my 5.7 Iroc.
I have been running a home made ram air setup similiar to Hawks. It simply runs from behing the fog lights up to the TPI snorkel. I ran this setup without my fog lights installed for a while. It provided a great gain over stock at speeds above 40mph. I later installed the fog lights and noticed that the ram air wasn't nearly as effective.
So what if I installed a Dual snorkel ram air setup that drew air into the high beam lights, that integrated into the fog light ram air?
Here is the concept I came up with
So I am integrating this
And this and have them connect to the main intake pipe, coming out the TPI plenum.
I also have a way to make this look 100% stock on the exterior.
My main concerns:
- if their are any negatives of forcing so much air into the intake. Such as tune and what not.
- I will need two more air filters behind the headlights. Wouldn't this kill performance under 40 mph even though I would use K&N Filters.
What are your thoughts? Think I will gain enough extra power to make it worth the time and fabrication?

Nope, ended up doing an LSX swap. I am still running the stock TPI intake, but will be ditching that, and designing a new ram air setup for the lsx.
As far as the method that I originally posted, its gotta work. I'd imagine at 60-80 mph it would probably build up a pound or two of boost.
