Starter on or off?
I've always fought putting the starter on along with the LT headers after the motor was dropped in the car. Can I bolt the starter on, lower the motor enough to hook up the starter wiring then lay the headers in as the motor gets lowered in the rest of the way? I figured I'd ask instead of learning the hard way.

Re: Starter on or off?
Yes. Do what you need to in the correct order for your combo.
Everyones combo is a lil diff and will be done in a lil diff order.

Re: Starter on or off?
Using some coat hanger wire to hold the headers roughly in place as your lower the engine in has always worked for me. Starter can sometimes be bolted to the engine before it's lowered in. Sometimes works with mini-starters, rarely with full sized ones. Usually it's a safe bet to bolt up the starter just before you unhook the headers from their coat-hangers and attach them to the heads.
