Car: 91 camaro rs
Engine: v6 :/
Transmission: auto
starting problem and tumbler ???
my starter went out on my 91 v6 rs. i replaced it and now when i turn the key to start it clicks then nothing, and then i try it again it starts just fine, everytime its like that. why?
second question is for a 88 iroc 5.0 my ignition key tumbler i assume is bad, my key is stuck in it, i cant turn to start or take the key out anymore. ive never replaced a tumbler before, just lookin for a quick how to. i think the steering wheel comes off to take all that plastic out or is there a easier way?

If it’s under warrantee replace it.
If you want to do it the fast way, replace it.
If not:
Most likely there is a loose or dirty connection from the solenoid to the starter.
Once you clean or verify that connection is clean but the problem persists, you can connect a wire to the ‘M’ connection.
Make the wire long enuff to bring into the cockpit.
Connect a bulb to the wire, and ground the other terminal of the bulb.
Now, when you try to start, but it won’t crank, observe if the bulb is lit.
If no, the solenoid is bad.
If yes, the starter is bad.

I Don’t Mind Wreckin’ On The Track, No Paperwork To Fill Out
