Buying Advice- Start
Hello Fellow ThirdGen Riders,
I just Got a Job Paying 800 Every paycheck (15 Days)
I am in need of advice on what i should buy for my car
Here is some Info On the Car:
1991 Camaro RS V6 3.1
I Just Got it Running, these are the parts i changed:
----------------
those are some basics
this is what the car looks like:
interior is good too, but im working on getting performance to start off with.
i have Same Stock one side Muffler.
Plan on buying:
i also plan on changing my hood for a hood off a 1982 z28 camaro, with the black dents in the middle. I also want the front bumper off the 1982 z28 with the licencse plate inside the outer walls.
I am going to be buying cables and what not to connect to ecm so i can get help to burn chips.
I also plan on buying a new clutch/flywheel.
so my question is this? Where do i start?
P.S No i dont want to buy a V8 or drop another motor in it. i want to turbo my car (possible supercharge down the road) and still have great gas mileage.

If it was my car I would start with the suspension as in steering box brace aka wonder bar, stb that is a strut tower brace and then the biggy and first would be the sub frame connectors.

Before you go, you got to stop, so I'd make sure my brakes were 100%.

I always find it helpful to lay out a plan for what you want to accomplish and then list the steps along the way. That way you can stay focused instead of jumping around. I always make sure the mechanical aspects are sound before doing stuff like paint, interior, sound, etc.

well, you can upgrade cam and lifters, and rockers, but you need to make sure all of your components match. Comp Cams has an excellent product and customer service help and you can also download their Cam Quest program to help you select a cam. Headers are a nice bolt on also.

Re: Buying Advice- Start
unless you are building up the motor with tons of hp or torque, a stock replacement clutch will work fine and save you a few $$. Hays or McLeod make good aftermarket clutches too. Be sure to resurface your flywheel when you put the new clutch in.
