i'm putting a lt4 hotcam in my 305 tbi rs . will these fit without any headwork ? what are the stock spring size ? thanks

no, the retainer will hit the guide. You need to run behive springs if you dont want head work. For a 305 tbi you're better off running an L98 cam and doing a motor swap later. .550 springs are too close to the .540 lift on that cam anyway.

do you know the part number for beehive springs ?
the lt4 hotcam lift is only .495 with 1.5 rockers an .528 with 1.6 rockers .
eventually i'll change the bottom end but for this summer i want to run a nice cam an turbo it . i may even switch to vortec heads . thanks for the reply
